Nayan: Almost anything. Stone walls work most of the time, depending how thick they are and what you’re firing from.
Agrien: ...is this a kind of sorcery?
---

Dimin: As a last resort. It’s the claws and the tail blade you have to watch out for. *fingers the four small scars on her cheek* He’s pretty handy with those.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: why did he use them on you?"
11 Apr 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: No, just another kind of weapon.
Agrien: something so powerful seems to mock the name of weapon.

---

Dimin: You know when your mother tells you not to pick up wild animals? *points to scars* This is why. Even half-dead babies can be dangerous if they’re scared enough.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: that sort of thing tends to be left out of baby dragon education, but I have heard other species tell their children that. Was it Cheetah you tried to pick up, or another? "
21 Apr 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: Why?

Agrien: with something so powerful, who can fight it? Wherin lies the hope?

---

Dimin: Cheet. That’s how we ended up together. His mother probably died since I’ve never heard of a cheechaa abandoning her young and I stumbled across him.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: That brings up a number of other questions. Why did either of you stay with the other after he cut you up? Why did your parents allow it?"
21 Apr 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: I don’t know. I guess we’re just used to it. Everyone’s got guns, no one’s getting rid of them, and they’re hardly the most powerful weapons we have.
Agrias: ...what do you build your castles from?

---

Dimin: He only did it cause he was scared. And he was too little to survive on his own so if we hadn’t taken him in, he’d have died. Scars aren’t all that big of a deal to Jem. We can hide them.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: how did you get him un-scared enough to care for him, though? Sounds like he could put out and eye, and that would be a big deal to most people. "
25 Apr 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: Uh, we don’t have castles.
Agrien: ...dare I ask how you defend against armies?
---

Dimin: He was really little and weak. That was all the fight he had in him. And cheechaar are smarter than most animals. He figured out we weren’t dangerous pretty quick. *Cheetah chirps* He says we gave him bread. It doesn’t take much to earn Cheetah’s undying love.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: so I see. Well, feeding is a good way to show friendship in most contexts. "
1 May 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: We don’t really have invading armies much anymore.
Agrien: ...it is no wonder you find this place strange. Your world is as strange to me, as I hear you speak of it.

---

Dimin: That explains why you have so many friends. Every time I stop by you’re feeding someone.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: *grins* are you two hungry?"
9 May 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: And no one believes in magic, either, which is what really makes this place weird.
Agrien: but if magic exists there, why does no one believe in it? That seems the most strange of all.

---

Dimin: You just fed me a little while ago, silly. But I can definitely say that Cheetah is hungry. *covers the ear that Cheetah is happily chirping into at the prospect of food* Of course, when is Cheet ever not hungry?

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: You didn’t eat all that much. Are you up to walking to the kitchen?"
10 May 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: The magic world keeps itself apart and hidden from the rest.
Agrien: why? I would think they would rule.

---

Dimin: Yes. I don’t feel the pain when Cheetah’s with me. Actually, I can probably eat something now he’s here.

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: all the better. Come on, then: *heads off kitchenwards* "
10 May 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: I don’t know. I try to stay away from them. Maybe there aren’t enough of them. Angel’s bar caters to them and I’ve still never seen more than a dozen or so.
Agrien: ...perhaps it is the fierceness of your weapons that stand in the way.
---

Dimin: *follows*

Cheetah: *runs ahead a little, looks back impatiently, runs ahead a little, looks back impatiently...*

:-) A. Setliffe replies: "Karren: *to Cheet* you can go ahead and eat what you like. There’s nothing you can get into that you’re not allowed to have. *once he arrives in the Kitchen, he looks around. to Dimin* I’m in a cooking mood. What would you like? "
12 May 2012:-) Melia Arney
Nayan: Maybe. You hear about them interacting with normals in old stories that people think are made up, so it could be the tech and weapons that have developed since that forced them into hiding.

---
Cheetah: *has his head in a bread basket when they arrive*

Dimin: Honestly, it doesn’t matter. The reason I can eat safely with Cheetah here is because I won’t taste it. Better to give me something nutritious and him something delicious because that’s what I will taste.
